In her work, she moves on the border of image and text, while using various media, such as video, installation, photography, and performance. She exhibits in Slovakia and abroad, she completed her last solo exhibition Souvenirs of Fire in 2018 at the Natural History Museum in Lisbon. In 2019, she published a book called Skipping School, Learning the Fire of Things, in which she connected her own visual work with the authorial essays. Katarína Poliačiková is the author of the newsletter project Soft Boiled, which was published in book form in September 2021.
