Cluster ensemble (SK)

The interdisciplinary art group Cluster ensemble was formed in 2009, when it premiered the composition Six Pianos by Steve Reich in one of Bratislava’s piano shops. Since then, the free group of guest artists centered around the artistic duo Ivan Šiller and Fero Király has been giving regular concerts on domestic and foreign stages. The ensemble focuses mainly on the interpretation of works by contemporary composers and musical personalities of the 20th century, author projects that push the boundaries of artistic interpretation and educational projects. To date, almost fifty musicians, dancers, artists and other artists from Europe and the USA have collaborated with the ensemble. Their debut album Cluster ensemble Plays Philip Glass was released in June 2016 by the Slovak label Hevhetia and the American label Orange Mountain Music. The second recording, EP 478 with the subtitle Cluster ensemble Plays MIlan Adamčiak, will be released at the JAMA festival in a jukebox at the “U Michala” pub in Banská Belá.
