Graduate of VŠVU in Bratislava, studio of prof. Anton Čierny. In 2012, he received the Igor Kalný Award for a young author under 30 within the VI. Zlín Youth Salon. Between 2012 and 2016, he attended several residencies abroad. In 2016, he was shortlisted for the Oscar Čepan Award. His works are big in size, in recent years he has mainly devoted himself to large-scale installations, which, in addition to well-thought-out architecture, activate the viewer (literally in a physical way). Whether it is the Visual Pyramid (2015) in Súľov, a landart intervention combining a function (shelter) with joy (framed view of nature selected by the author), which refers to his older work Edmund (2011), which he completed within the residence in Banská St a nica, or the temporary installation Vertical Gradation (2016) in the Kostka Gallery in the Meet factory in Prague. For Gábor, thinking about space, vision, painting and the viewer is based on the history of art, theory and analytical evaluation of what is seen. In September 2019 he returned to Banská Štiavnica, where he spent almost two years after university. As part of the Banská St a nica residence and based on his own memory of Milan Adamčiak, he will create an intervention here on the site of the former Banská Belá stop. Adamčiak used this place to move between Štiavnica and Banská Belá.
